What to Expect
Here’s what to expect during your RMR test—from prep to personalized results.
• Before Your Test: You’ll receive detailed prep instructions in advance. In general, we recommend fasting (including caffeine) for 6 hours, avoiding exercise for 12 hours, and refraining from alcohol or nicotine prior to your appointment.
• During the Test: You’ll sit comfortably and breathe through a specialized mask for up to 30 minutes while we measure your oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide output—capturing how efficiently your body burns energy at rest.
• Review & Apply Your Results: Right after your test, a clinician will walk you through your personalized report. You’ll leave with clear, actionable data to guide your nutrition strategy, adjust calorie intake, and align your training with your metabolic baseline.
