What to Expect
Here’s what to expect during your VO₂ Max test—from prep to your results.
• Before Your Test: You’ll receive prep instructions in advance. We typically recommend fasting (including caffeine) for 4 hours, avoiding intense exercise, steroids, or cold medications for 12–24 hours, and wearing athletic clothing with proper running shoes.
• During the Test: You’ll run on a treadmill while wearing a specialized mask and heart rate monitor. Speed and incline increase gradually until you reach your max effort, allowing us to measure oxygen use, exertion thresholds, and metabolic output in real time.
• Review & Apply Your Results: Immediately after the test, a clinician will walk you through your results. You’ll leave with a detailed VO₂ Max report and a clear understanding of how to adjust your training for better endurance, recovery, and cardiovascular efficiency.
