Our orthopedic surgeons perform outpatient hand and wrist procedures to address conditions affecting the tendons, nerves, and joints. Surgeries are performed under local anesthesia and most patients are discharged the same day.
How to Prepare
Bring Your Diagnostic Records
If you have nerve conduction studies, EMG results, or prior imaging, bring them to your pre-op visit. These help your surgeon confirm the diagnosis and plan the procedure.
Arrange a Ride Home
You will not be able to drive after surgery. Plan to have a friend or family member take you home and stay with you for the first few hours of recovery.
Review Your Medications
Inform your care team of all medications and supplements you take. Some blood thinners and anti-inflammatories may need to be paused before surgery.
